Improvisational Theater (or Improv) requires the actors to create scenes and characters “on the spot”, and with no preparation or planning. While often humorous in nature, students will be required to utilize basic acting techniques and focus on honing these skills while developing their improvisational talents This class will serve as a comprehensive introduction/review of the core concepts and ideas needed to create a successful improvised scene. Students will review and explore the relationship between characters, environment and activity. Through a series of improvisational games and exercises, students will heighten their creativity, collaborative skills, and stage presence. Great for actors or anyone looking to have fun!
